When I think of a warm and comforting winter dessert Apple Crisp always comes to mind. The aroma of the apples baking with the cinnamon and a hint of lemon brings back fond memories of my childhood and the smells of Mom’s apple crisp baking in the oven.

Just wondered if oat meal can be substituted for almond meal?
It would work but it will be a bit dry.
I just screenshot this recipe to try soon. I love your channel! We are both heart patients and your recipes are so good for us.
Can you give a specific amount of lemon juice? Lemons do vary in size and juiciness. Thank you.

Thank you.
So yummy and easy! An instant favorite! Did start to burn in convection oven around 37 minutes though, so I would cook a bit less then reduce heat for remaining time next time. Thanks Jill!
Excellent. However, rethinking a bit how to coat the apples since the juice seems to wipe off the cinnamon from the apples, will try again and comment. how wonderful to eat guild free with enjoyment. thank you for all that you do.
i just made this, i’m eating it right now and it’s so awesome!!! it’s making want to do a little dance!!! it’s that good!!!
i didn’t have lemon so i used fresh lime juice, and replaced the arrowroot powder with gluten-free flour mix, added a little ground clove to the apples like you suggested in the youtube video. made with cortland apples. thank you, it’s one of the best things i’ve baked in a while!!! what a treat!!
Jill, I was warned you make fab desserts. The apple crisp is OMG good!
