So you’ve decided to go Plant Based. Now what. Well, your cupboards are probably a bit bare because you have already cleaned out your pantry and fridge of anything that contains animal products. On this episode I show you what is in our pantry and fridge to help you decide on what to put in yours.
A majority of the things that I buy in bulk come from Iherb.com. Things like flax seeds, chia seeds, onion powder, smoked paprika, cocoa powder and dried mushrooms, all of which are Frontier brand. I also buy non-bulk items from them too like essential oils and spices.
I buy most of my nuts and dried fruit from Tierrafarm.com.
My dried beans come from Ranchogordo.com
Non-fortified Nutritional Yeast from Sari, I order from Amazon.com
Most of the other items I get from my trusty Kroger grocery store.
V-dog for our sweet puppy, River, I order from Amazon.com. When we decided to get a puppy we were faced with the decision of what to feed her. If we weren’t buying food with animal products for ourselves, were we really going to feed our dog standard dog food which mostly contains animal products. We did a lot of research and decided that we needed to buy vegan dog food. We settled on V-dog after trying two or three different brands.

Hi Jill,
I loved this video ! It was very helpful ! As I am starting this new food journey I was wondering if you could do a video on some basic weekly food preps you have learned !
I have 6 kids , homeschool and have my plate pretty full ! So as I am starting this journey any food preps , meal planning tips would be so helpful!
Like , when you do your shopping , what fruits and veggies do you chop and how do you suggest storing them .
I have also noticed sometimes my veggies or fruits will get too cold in the fridge, so what is your advice on fridge temperature for your veggies and fruits?
And any tips on how to help your fruits and veggies last longer ?
So Any great tips like this on food prep , food storage would be great.!
Thanks for sharing and love your videos they are so helpful!!!!
Hello Allison, I will add that to my list. I might not get to it for a little bit. I have a pretty long list of shows on the roster but that is a great idea. I am a bit hap-hazzard in that area and could use it too =).
Wow, six little ones! You do have a full plate. Good for you for feeding all those little ones well!
Jill
Could you please repeat the name of the docktor and “eating a mushroom a day” idea. Also buyin the nutritional yast you recommend the one without additives? Thanks.

Hi Jill!
Your videos have been such an encouragement to me and my family! We just began our journey toward a nutritarian lifestyle and are loving it! I’m a homeschool mom of 5, and echo what Allison said about food prep and meal planning 🙂
I also wanted to ask where you got your baskets you keep your fruit in? I’ve been searching high and low for a basket big enough to fit all the fruit our family goes through!
Thank you! Good luck on your journey! I got the baskets from Costco a couple years ago.
This website is really a stroll-by for all the information you needed about this and didn’t know who to ask. Glimpse right here, and also you’ll undoubtedly discover it.
I am thoroughly confused. I watched your video on the oil free vegan salad dressing. it says to use white wine vinegar Yet, every single website I have searched says that white wine vinegar IS NOT vegan!! Can this please be explained!?!?!?
