I love going out to eat especially on those nights when I just don’t feel like cooking. Then our family became vegans, and not just a vegans but vegan SOS free, which means no salt, oil or sugar. Going out to eat now is a challenge. If we really feel the need, we go out knowing that we won’t be able to find a place that is SOS free but at least it is vegan.
There are quite a few restaurants around now that cater to vegans but most rely heavily on salt, sugar and oil. Not only that,  there is a trend for restaurants to offer vegan versions of things on their normal menu. Just because it is vegan, it doesn’t always mean that it is good for you. But, if you are really jonesing  for that hamburger or cheese burger then places like these might be a good first step to changing over to a vegan diet.
I know personally, that when I do go to one of these places, I usually leave not feeling very well. That is mainly why my husband and I created our youtube cooking show, The Nutritarian Cooking Show.
I take our favorite foods and create a vegan, SOS free version of them. So far, my family has been very happy with the recipes that I have created. Another bonus is that when we eat this food we feel great. No more crashing after a meal or feeling bloated or like your tongue is still attached to a salt lick.
