Who doesn’t love the comfort of a crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside hash brown? Our family has come to love this easy and delicious way of cooking hash browns from scratch in the waffle maker. Of course it is easier to just go and buy a bag of frozen shredded potatoes but many times there are preservatives and additives like dextrose and phosphates mixed in to keep the potatoes nice and white. In addition to this, the potatoes used are not organic and as we know, potatoes are on the dirty dozen list. Conventional potatoes are subjected to the use of over 37 chemicals in the growing process. This is why I choose to make my own using organic potatoes.
