Homemade Deodorant

Jill Dalton
When it comes to natural deodorants, all are not created equal. Replacing your regular deodorant with a deodorant that isn’t laden with chemicals is a very smart thing to do and there are plenty of natural deodorants on the market today but finding one that works well for you is a daunting task. We have tried about a dozen different store bought natural deodorants with no luck. They either gave us a rash, didn’t work at all or needed to be applied twice a day. This led me to experimenting with making my own. This recipe only contains a few ingredients and it is simple and cost effective to make AND you can customize it with your own preferred fragrance.

The best deodorant is Philips Plain Milk of Magnesia. Get a roll on deodorant bottle. Pour the Phillips Milk of Mag in it and use it every day as a roll on. Does not stain your clothes. Allows you to sweat. No odor until the next day, which is natural. A Lady who had breast cancer in the past told me. I had tried everything. Nothing worked without like you say, you break out in a rash. She does Thermal Imaging.. Mammo’s without the x ray machine. I am sensitive to any fragrance . This works for me. Thought I would share. Philips Plain Milk of Magnesia has chlorine in small amounts but some are very sensitive to this chemical

You could but the baking soda isn’t necessary if you are making it for that.

The essential oil of my choice is none. I’m allergic to roses and lavender and I’m not sure about the other essential oils you mentioned. You can be just as allergic to organic natural fragrances as you can be to synthetic fragrances, or even more allergic. Oh, baking soda irritates my underarm and I get red patches. Would just coconut oil and cornstarch and arrowroot work?

I think so, maybe not quite as well.

Oops Jill. Sorry. I went to hit the stars thinking that it will take me to review comments (used to Amazon). But because I hit the third start it rated it. 😳 thought I’d let you know how easy it is to give you a bad rating by accident.
I look forward to trying this recipe.
